Day 03 - Continued - Lion House

I forgot to mention our side trip to Temple square and the Mormon Tabernacle.  After stopping for the night, we headed to Temple Square on our way to dinner.  Our first stop was the Salt Lake City Mormon Tabernacle.  Unfortunately, the choir was not practicing or singing, too bad.  Anyway, we visited the Tabernacle and learned that the organ has over 1,000 pipes, some the size of your pinkie others over 20 feet tall.

Afterwards, we walked along the gardens passing the Temple, with the golden angel at the top.

We continued with a tour of the Lion House where Brigham Young lived.

We viewed several rooms including his bedroom.

The dining room.

And other rooms.

After that, we went to dinner at the hotel where the ceiling is made up of stained glass and a fantastic chandelier.  Very impressive!
